The Final Quarter

A very special late addition to this year's Revelation program.

Join the director Ian Darling, Tanya Hosch (AFL General Manager of Inclusion and Social Policy), and Des Headland (President of Indigenous Player Alliance (IPA)) for a special Q&A on Monday the 8th, 6.30pm.

The Final Quarter documents the last three years of Sydney Swan's star Adam Goodes monumental sporting career. After calling out racism Goodes - who's accolades include being Brownlow Medallist, Bob Skilton Medallist, Indigenous Team of the Century member and Australian of the Year - spent his final three years on the field facing boos while also being a target for some in the media.

Presenting the story through deftly edited archival material, director Ian Darling's essay-documentary is a powerful film that presents an uncomfortable but necessary picture of contemporary Australia. A film that everybody needs to see.

"A supercharged current courses through it, Darling having created less a documentary than a kind of electric cine-essay, pulsing with energy and urgency." - The Guardian

"It is brilliant work, and a must-watch." - Peter FitzSimons, Sydney Morning Herald.
